The HSC Routine 2025 has been published. The education boards announced the schedule on February 19, 2025. According to the HSC exam routine 2025, the examination will commence on June 26, 2025. The published schedule will be applicable to all general education boards. The examinations for the Dhaka, Cumilla, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Barishal, Sylhet, Jashore, and Mymensingh education boards will be held according to a uniform schedule. However, in case of special needs, any education board may change the full or partial schedule.

The detailed schedule for the Higher Secondary Examination of 2025 can be downloaded in PDF version from the websites of the education boards. Also, if a revised schedule is published, the new HSC Routine 2025 can be downloaded from the respective education board's website.

HSC Examination 2025

The HSC examination is an important public examination in Bangladesh. It is the second largest after the SSC examination. Students who have completed the eleventh and twelfth grades can participate in it. The HSC and equivalent examinations are generally held in the science, humanities, and business studies groups. In 2025, the examination will start on June 26 and end on August 10. More than 1.4 million students will participate. This includes students from nine general education boards. The boards are Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Sylhet, Barishal, Dinajpur, and Mymensingh. Besides, two special boards, Madrasah and Technical, will conduct the examination. The Madrasah Board is in charge of the Alim examination. The Technical Board conducts the HSC Vocational and other technical examinations.

This year, the restructured syllabus will be followed. This will help students to focus on the core subjects. The examination pattern includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Creative Questions (CQ). There will be 20 minutes for the MCQ part. 60 minutes for the CQ part. Each subject is for 100 marks. The examination will be held in two shifts. The morning examination will start at 10:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM. The afternoon examination will start at 2:00 PM and end at 5:00 PM. The first examination is Bengali First Paper. The Ministry of Education will ensure a smooth process. Students need to prepare well for good results. Passing the HSC opens the door for university admission.

Downloading the HSC Routine 2025 is easy. The routine is available in PDF and image formats. Students can download it from the official website of the education board. Each education board also has its own website. For example, the website of the Dhaka Board is www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd. Follow these steps to download:

  1. Go to the official website of your education board.
  2. Go to the “Notice” or “HSC Corner” section.
  3. Find the link for HSC Routine 2025.
  4. Click to download the PDF file.
  5. Save it on your phone or computer.

Students can print the routine. Pin it on the study table for quick reference. Many news portals also share the routine. Always download from a trusted source. This ensures the correct schedule. Mark the examination dates and times of all subjects in the routine. Also, always keep an eye on your education board's website and the news media. If the schedule is changed for any reason, the examination will be held according to the revised routine.

HSC Practical Routine 2025

Along with the HSC examination routine, the practical examination routine has also been published. The practical examination will start on August 11, 2025, and will continue until August 21, 2025. Each board will announce the exact dates later. Students need to contact their colleges to know the exact dates. The practical examination is held at the students' own institutions. It tests hands-on skills and understanding.

Candidates must bring the necessary materials. This includes lab equipment and the admit card. The examination authorities will submit the practical marks online. Teachers and board representatives will verify the marks. Students have to submit answer scripts and attendance records. Follow the board's instructions to avoid problems. Preparation for the practical examination is as important as for the written examination.

Instructions for Candidates

Along with the HSC Routine 2025, detailed instructions for students and examination-related personnel have also been published. The instructions published for the students must be followed strictly. The main instructions are:

  • The examinee must take their seat in the examination hall 30 (thirty) minutes before the start of the examination.
  • First the multiple-choice and then the creative/descriptive (theoretical) examination will be held.
  • For the 30-mark multiple-choice (MCQ) examination, the time will be 30 minutes, and for the 70-mark creative (CQ) examination, the time will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • For subjects with practicals, the time for the 25-mark multiple-choice (MCQ) examination will be 20 minutes, and for the 50-mark creative (CQ) examination, the time will be 2 hours and 35 minutes.
  • The examination will be held without any break. There will be no break between the MCQ and CQ answer sheets.
  • The examination must be conducted according to the time mentioned in the question paper.
  • Examinees will collect their admit cards from their respective institutions.
  • Each examinee must properly write their roll number, registration number, subject code, etc., on the supplied answer sheet and fill the circles. Under no circumstances should writing be done within the margins or the answer sheet be folded for any other purpose.
  • The examinee must pass separately in the theoretical, multiple-choice, and practical parts (where applicable).
  • Each examinee can only participate in the examination of the subject/subjects mentioned in the registration card and admit card. They cannot participate in the examination of any other subject.
  • No examinee's examination will be held at their own college/institution; the seating arrangement will be done through transfer of examinees.
  • Examinees can use a general scientific calculator (Non-programmable) in the examination. Programming calculators cannot be used.
  • No one other than the officer-in-charge of the examination center can use a mobile phone, and no examinee can bring a mobile phone to the examination center.

The HSC Routine 2025 is important for students. If you are a Higher Secondary Certificate examinee, then download the schedule from your education board's website and print it. Mark your examination dates and follow the prescribed schedule. Always follow your education board's website. If a revised schedule is published, follow the new routine. Collect your admit card on time and you must participate in the examination for the subjects mentioned in the admit card. During the examination, be sure to bring your admit card, registration card, and other necessary items with you. Follow the instructions in the published routine.
