The biggest public examination in Bangladesh is the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination. The SSC Examination 2025 will be started on 10 April 2025. The Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has published the SSC Routine 2025. According to the published routine, examinations will be held by all general education boards. The published SSC Exam Routine 2025 will apply to Dhaka, Comilla, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Barisal, Jessore, Sylhet, and Mymensingh Education Boards. The examination will be held simultaneously according to this routine. However, due to special circumstances, the education boards can change this schedule.
SSC Exam Routine 2025
A common schedule has been published for the SSC examination 2025 of the nine general education boards of the country. According to the published SSC Routine 2025, the exam will start on 10 April 2025 and end on 08 May 2025. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The exam duration will be mentioned in each subject’s question paper. The practical exam will start after the completion of the theoretical exam.
The schedule of practical examinations for general education boards has also been published. According to the announcement, the practical examination will be held from 10 May 2025 to 18 May 2025. Let’s learn important information about the SSC exam 2025.

The Ministry of Education will also publish the routine in various national dailies. It is to be noted that the Dakhil examination of the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board will also be held simultaneously. Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board has published a separate schedule for the Dakhil examination. The schedule of the Dakhil Exam 2025 can be downloaded from the website of the Board. Besides, the Bangladesh Technical Education Board has published separate schedules for SSC Vocational and Dakhil Vocational examinations on their official website.
Instructions
- Examinees must take their places in the examination hall 30 (thirty) minutes before the start of the examination.
- The examination must be taken according to the time mentioned in the question paper.
- First, multiple-choice and then creative/written (theoretical) examinations will be held, with no break between them.
- Examinees will collect their admit cards from their respective heads of institutions at least three days before the examination starts.
- Educational institutions will provide the concerned centers with the marks obtained in the subjects of Physical Education, Health Science, sports, and Career Education through continuous assessment as per NCTB guidelines. The concerned center will upload the marks obtained in the practical examination and the marks obtained in the continuous assessment on the board’s online website.
- Examinees will correctly write their roll number, registration number, subject code, etc., in the OMR form of their respective answer sheets and fill in the circles. The answer sheet should not be folded under any circumstances.
- The examinee must pass the creative/written (theoretical), multiple-choice, and practical parts separately.
- Each examinee can only appear in the examination of the subject(s) mentioned in the registration form. Under no circumstances will he/she be able to appear in the examination in a different subject.
- No examinee’s examination (creative/written (theoretical), multiple-choice, or practical) will be held in his/her school/institution. Examinees will have to change their seats through transfer.
- Examinees can use ordinary scientific calculators in the examination.
- No person/examinee other than the center secretary will be allowed to bring and use mobile phones in the examination center.
- The same attendance slip must be used for the examinee’s presence in the creative/written (theoretical), multiple-choice, and practical examinations.
- The practical examination will be held at the respective centers/venues.
- Applications for re-examination can be made online through SMS within 07 (seven) days of the publication of the examination results.
According to the published SSC Routine 2025, students of all education boards must participate in the examination. In addition, the conditions and instructions mentioned in the routine must be followed. All students must appear at the examination center at the scheduled time.
