Univac University Covid 19 Vaccine Registration

Through the UNIVAC Program UGC has taken initiative for University Student Vaccine Registration. The University Grants Commission has launched the web link https://univac.ugc.gov.bd for Covid-19 Vaccine Registration. Through this, students of all public and private universities will be able to register for vaccination.

Students who do not have National Identity Card (NID) can go to this link with birth registration certificate and register for vaccination. The UGC will then provide the information of these students to the health department. Students will then be able to easily register for the vaccine by visiting the Corona Vaccine Surokkha App.

All university students need to register through https://univac.ugc.gov.bd. Students must register by September 27. Students who have a national identity card can also use this link to register for the University Student Corona Vaccine program by connecting to the surokkha website or app.

The UGC said that those who do not yet have a birth registration certificate should do so by registering their birth certificate quickly. After collection the Birth Registration Number, Student of any Public and Private University in Bangladesh including Bangladesh National University must be completed the Vaccine Registration through UGC website.

Now anyone over the age of 18 can get the corona vaccine. As a result, students of colleges are also able to get corona vaccine.

UNIVAC: University Covid 19 Vaccine Registration & Information

Students who have not yet received the vaccine, they must register and provide all information related to vaccination. After completion of the registration, they will be informed via SMS. Students who have taken 1st or 2nd dose need to update their dosage information.

Students who have a national identity card number will register directly through the surokkha.gov.bd portal. After registration, they will be informed about the date of vaccination and other information through SMS.

Students who do not have National Identity Card number have to register on UGC website https://univac.ugc.gov.bd by their birth registration number. If they do not have a birth registration, they have to collect it before September 27 and complete the registration.

  1. First visit the Univac website https://univac.ugc.gov.bd
  2. Click on the “Register” button
  3. Provide initial information
  4. A link will be sent to the provided email address. (Please check your spam folder. If button is not working copy and paste the given link on browser.)
  5. Click on the link (received over email), login to the system with your given password (received over email) and provide detail information
  6. If you have completed 2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccine, please provide the NID/Birth Certificate information and date of 2nd dose
  7. If you have registered for Covid-19 Vaccine, please provide NID or Birth Certificate information with probable/completion date of 1st dose / probable date of 2nd dose
  8. If you have not registered for Covid-19 Vaccine but have NID, please provide NID and get registered yourself to https://surokkha.gov.bd
  9. If you have not registered for Covid-19 Vaccine and you don’t have NID, provide the Birth Certificate information
  10. If you have not registered for Covid-19 Vaccine and you have neither NID nor Birth certificate, please collect your Birth Certificate first and update your information in univac portal using your credential within 27 September.

University Student Covid 19 Vaccine Information

There are about 41 lakh students in higher education including colleges and other educational institutions. So far, about 1.75 million students have registered for the corona vaccine. About four and a half lakh students have been vaccinated with the first dose. About 92,000 students have been vaccinated with the second dose. Of these, more than 80,000 are students of residential halls. There are about 1 lakh 30 thousand students in 220 residential halls in public universities.

According to UGC sources, data of students from 24 universities has been received. Jessore University of Science and Technology is one of the 24 universities where data has been collected. The total students of Jessore University of Science and Technology are about four thousand. Among them, 2,629 students have registered for vaccination. 910 people have been vaccinated. 395 students took the second dose. And 219 people did not have NID and 347 people did not register.

Rajshahi University has 20 to 21 thousand undergraduate (honours) and postgraduate students. Among them, more than 16,000 students have registered for the vaccine. Of these, about 12,500 have been vaccinated. However, the total number of students in all departments and year in the university is more than the total number.

The total number of students in 39 departments and institutes of Jahangirnagar University is about 13 thousand. UGC has received information from 33 departments of them. Half of the students received the second dose of the vaccine, the departments said.

More than 52 percent students of Dhaka University have so far received at least the first dose of vaccine. The total number of students in the university is about 38 thousand. Many are registering and waiting for the vaccine.

The list of information provided to UGC also includes Chittagong University, Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET), Khulna University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Comilla University, Bangladesh University of Professionals, Rabindra University, Sheikh Hasina University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology RUET, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology SUST, Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology MBSTU, Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Rangamati University of Science and Technology, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University of Science and Technology , Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University and Khulna Agricultural University.

Those who have not yet been vaccinated, including students from the National University and their affiliated educational institutions, have been instructed to complete the registration on the surokkha app by September 27 and get vaccinated. For this, emergency instructions have been sent by the university to all the affiliated educational institutions.
