Shahjalal University of Science and Technology SUST Admission Circular 2025 has been published. Admission Form can be filled through admission.sust.edu website. Those who have participated in the GST admission test will be considered eligible to apply in different units.
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology will not take a separate admission test for students in the 2024-2025 academic years. Students will be admitted based on the GST Admission Test Result Score.
SUST Admission 2024-2025
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Admission Application 2024-25 starts on 05 January 2025 at 10 am. The admission form can be filled out until 12 midnight on 25 January 2025.
Number of seats
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has two units: ‘A’ and ‘B’. The A-unit is for science, and the B-unit is for all groups of science, humanities, and commerce. The total number of seats in the A-unit is 985. There are 30 seats for architecture. The total number of seats for the B-unit is 602. The prospectus provides subject-based seat numbers.
There are also 100 seats reserved for the children of freedom fighters, 28 for minorities/ethnicities / Harijans-Dalits, 14 for the disabled, 4 for tea workers, 20 for pet quota, and 6 for BKSP quota.
Eligibility for Application
Students participating in the GST Admission Test 2024-2025 can participate in the admission process. Students who have passed the HSC or equivalent examination from the science group can apply for both A and B units. Others can only apply to B unit.
In order to be admitted to a particular department, one must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in HSC or equivalent examination or at least B-grade in the A-level examination in the relevant subjects.
The minimum total marks in the GST examination and the subject-wise marks to be eligible for admission in SUST will be announced later through the website.
- In order to be admitted in the Department of Economics, the student of the Science group has to get at least 40% marks in Mathematics in the GST Admission Test.
- For admission in English department, one has to get at least 40% marks in English in GST admission test.
Students participating in the GST Admission Test will have to participate in the Admission Test for General Knowledge in Drawing and Architecture if they want to be admitted in the Architecture Department. The duration of admission test for 30 marks will be 1 hour. Candidates must get at least 40% marks in that test.

Follow the steps below to apply for admission in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
- Visit the admission website admission.sust.edu.bd.
- Sign up with Your SSC and HSC Information. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. You need to complete the sign up process with OTP.
- A User ID and a Password will be send by SMS.
- Login with user ID and password. You will see your profile. From the dashboard you can apply to the designated unit. Here you can provide quotas and other information.
- Application fee has to be paid after applying to any unit.
- Admission roll will be sent via SMS after payment of application fee.
SUST Admission Result
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology SUST Admission Result 2025 has been Published Today on 26th February 2025. SUST Merit List 2025 PDF for A and B Unit has been Published through the admission website admission.sust.edu. After that, SUST 3rd Merit List 2025 (Second Round Offered Subject) has been Released on 26th February 2025.
Individual Rank List has been Prepared without SSC and HSC GPA and Marks for Group-1 and Group-2 of A and B Unit. Merit list has been published only on the basis of marks obtained in GST admission test. Admission process will start from 28 February 2025. An applicant will have the opportunity to be admitted in only one department subject to having seats on the basis of merit list, subject qualification and preference.
SUST Admission Result 2025
Admissions applications for Shahjalal University of Science and Technology started on 05 January 2025. The application ended on January 25. The total number of applicants in A-1, A-2, and B units is 30,237. A total of 14,265 students have applied in A-1, 538 in A-2, and 15,436 in B-unit. A total of 1587 students will get admission from all the applicants.
SUST Merit List 2025
The Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Merit List has been published on the basis of the Universities Integrated Admission Test Result. Different Merit List has been published for Group-1 and Group-2 of A-Unit. Different Merit List will be published for Science, Humanities and Business Studies group of B-unit. In making the merit list of group-2 of A-unit, general knowledge test marks of drawing and architecture will be considered.
