The medical college admission test for the academic session of 2023-24 was held on February 9, 2024. This test was conducted across 19 centers and 57 venues in Bangladesh. Government Medical Colleges and Seats

Private Medical Colleges and Seats
Bangladesh has 71 private medical colleges that offer a total of 6,772 seats for MBBS courses. The published medical admission result 2024 will facilitate admission to these private medical colleges as well.

Admission Process for Private Medical Colleges

Changes in MBBS Admission Rules
In previous years, students who scored 40 or more marks in the admission test were considered eligible to apply for admission to private medical colleges. However, this year, the rules have been changed. The Ministry of Health has published the merit list of 33,860 candidates, and private medical colleges have to complete admissions from this merit list. That is, admission up to merit rank 33,860 will be possible this year. No student will be eligible for admission to a medical college if they score 40 marks or more in the admissions test but do not fall within the merit rank of 33,860.
Medical Admission Result Date 2024
The Medical Admission Test Result 2023 24 was released on 11th February 2024. BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) was responsible for preparing and publishing the results. However, Dhaka University was responsible for double-checking the results prepared by BUET. If they finished checking by 11th, the result would be declared in the afternoon. Otherwise, the medical admission result would be published on Monday, 12th February. The medical admission result date was announced officially before the result release.
