Krishnakumar Kunnath. Who is known as KK. The popular Bollywood musician passed away on May 31, 2022. He fell ill while singing at a function in Kolkata. He was later taken to hospital. The doctors pronounced him dead. He was born on 23 August 1968 in Delhi, India.

In personal life KK was married. His wife's name is Jyoti Krishna. In 1991, he married Jyoti. Jyoti was his childhood friend. They have two children.
The way to marry Jyoti was not easy for Krishnakumar Kunnath. Because, he was unemployed then. As a result, he worked as a salesman for 6 months. He later quit his job and returned to music. He started working on the jingle again.

Krishnakumar Kunnath studied at Mount St. Mary's School in Delhi and graduated from Delhi University.
Carrier
His musical journey began with listening to his mother's Malayalam songs. The song was recorded on a tape recorder by his father. Although the KK song was popular with the audience, he felt that most people did not know him. He never took professional musical training and was not a classically trained singer. He sang the song 'Job Andhera Hota Hai' from the movie 'Raja Rani' on the stage in 1973 and was highly praised. Since then he has become more focused on music. The main artists of the song were Bhupinder Singh and Asha Bhonsle.
Awards
In 1999, KK won the Screen Award for Best Singer for his solo album 'Pal' under Sony Music. He teamed up with his mentor Leslie Lewis for 'Pal', which became his trademark album and became a must in all his concerts.
He sang many chartbuster Bollywood songs. However, he did not receive many awards. He won a major award in 2009 for his song 'Khoda Jaane' in Bachna Aaye Haseeno. He then said that he did not go after anyone for rewards.
