Today, October 15, 2024, the HSC and equivalent examination results are being published in Bangladesh. At 11 a.m., 11 education boards across the country will simultaneously release the results, including nine general education boards and other equivalent boards. This result publication will end the wait of more than 1.4 million examinees in the country. Students can find their HSC Result 2024 online through the eduboardresults.gov.bd website and via SMS. Results with marksheets will be available from the respective education boards’ websites.
In addition, paperless results based on educational institutions can also be downloaded from their respective websites.
HSC Result 2024
The HSC Result 2024 published today shows a pass rate of 78.64 percent. 92,365 students achieved GPA-5. More than 1.4 million students participated in the 2024 HSC and equivalent exams. Alongside the HSC examination, Alim and technical education participation was also notable. 88,076 students participated in the Alim examination, and the total number of examinees in the Technical Education Board was 234,433.
The HSC examination 2024 started on June 30, but due to floods in Sylhet, the exam started on July 9. The total number of participants in this year’s examination was 1,450,790, which is about 91,448 more than last year. Due to the anti-discrimination student-public movement, it was possible to conduct examinations in seven subjects of the HSC examination, but the rest were canceled. Later, the Ministry of Education announced that the remaining exams would not be held.
Compared to other years, there will be no formality in announcing the results this time. Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, said that neither the Prime Minister nor any Chief Advisor will announce the results this time. Instead, at 11 am, the chairman of each board will publish the results of their respective boards.
How to know the HSC Result?
After the results are published, students will be able to know their results from the education boards websites and educational institutions. Also, results can be known through SMS from any mobile. Dhaka Education Board has informed that by visiting the board’s website, the examinees can know their results by providing their roll and registration numbers. To know the HSC Result 2024 online, the following instructions should be followed:
- Visit the eduboardresults.gov.bd website.
- Select “HSC/Alim/Equivalent” as the name of the exam.
- Select “2024” as the year of examination.
- Select the name of your education board.
- Provide your necessary information.
- Write the captcha code exactly.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
Apart from the above website, the results will be available from the official website of Education Board Result 2024. To do this, follow the instructions below:
- Visit the www.educationboardresults.gov.bd website.
- Select “HSC/Alim” from the Examination option.
- Select “2024” from the Year option.
- Select the name of your board from the Board option.
- Enter your roll and registration number sequentially.
- Complete the security check.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
HSC Result by SMS
Apart from online, results can be known by sending SMS. SMS can be sent from any mobile phone. If the SMS is sent before the publication of the results, it will be considered as pre-registration. Also, SMS can be sent after the publication of the results. When the result is officially published, the concerned education board will inform the student’s mobile number about the result. The instructions for sending SMS are as follows:
- Open the SMS option of the mobile phone.
- Open the new message option.
- Write- HSC <space> 1st three letters of board name <space> Roll <space> 2024
- Send the message to 16222.
For example, if you are a student of the Comilla Education Board and your roll number is 123456 then you have to write HSC COM 123456 2024 and send the message to 16222. You will get your result in the return message.
HSC Result with Marksheet
HSC Result 2024 with marksheet will be available from the websites of the education boards. For this, students have to follow their respective education board website. The education boards have already published notices and instructions regarding the publication of HSC Result 2024. HSC Result with marksheet can be found in the following way:
- Visit the website of your education board.
- Enter the “HSC Result 2024” link.
- Enter the Individual Result option.
- Provide the required information.
- Press the “Submit” button.
Institution based results
This year also no hard copy of the HSC Result 2024 will be provided from the education board. Colleges and educational institutions will be able to download paperless results from its education board official website. EIIN will be required to download institution based results.
If you have any objection regarding the HSC Result 2024 published today, you can apply for re-scrutiny. Board challenge applications will be accepted from October 16 to October 22, 2024.
