The board gives the opportunity of board challenge to those students who are dissatisfied with their results. The review application runs from October 16 to October 22. More than 1 lakh 5 thousand students applied for this. Students apply to various education boards for re-scrutiny of HSC exam papers. Among them, the maximum number of applications was submitted to Dhaka Education Board.
What is the Board Challenge Result?
A board challenge is when a student who is not satisfied with his or her results can apply for a re-evaluation of his or her results. The HSC Challenge Result 2024 has already been published. Earlier, applications for all education boards started simultaneously from October 16. The purpose of applying for a board challenge or re-scrutiny is to verify whether a student’s marks have been added correctly, whether marks have been awarded for all questions answered, etc. However, re-scrutiny does not mean a re-evaluation of the answer sheet.
Four aspects are examined in the answer sheet for which the re-scrutiny application is made. Those are whether all the questions in the answer sheet have been marked correctly, whether the calculation of the marks obtained is correct, whether the marks obtained have been written on the OMR sheet, and whether the circles on the OMR sheet have been filled in accordance with the marks obtained. The re-scrutiny results are given after these examinations. However, no examinee can change the marks awarded to him/her.
For example, if the candidate has been awarded six marks for answering a question mistakenly counted as 3 marks – such an error is corrected. In this case, the fact is taken into consideration that the examinee should not be harmed in any way. However, there is no chance of making it 8 instead of 6. It is also worth mentioning that even if a student’s result does not improve through re-scrutiny, there is no chance of deterioration. Even if the result is unchanged, his or her previous result will remain valid.
