45th BCS Preliminary Examination 2023
The 45th BCS preliminary examination will be held on May 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., lasting for two hours. This examination will be conducted simultaneously in eight divisions of the country: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh.
The preliminary exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) carrying a total of 200 marks. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded, and for each wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted from the total score.
Through the 45th BCS, a total of 2,309 cadres will be recruited. Among them, 1,309 will be non-cadre candidates.
Among the 2,309 cadres in the 45th BCS, the highest number of recruitments will be in the medical sector. A total of 539 individuals will be appointed as Assistant Surgeons and Dental Surgeons.
After medical professionals, the highest number of recruitments will be in the education cadre, with 437 individuals being appointed. This will be followed by 80 in the police, 54 in the customs, and 274 in the administration sector.
